Pet Heartworm/Tick Blood Test

We work to follow guidelines from the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Heartworm Society, and the Companion Animal Parasite Council when it comes to keeping your pet healthy.

Heartworm disease is caused by worms that grow and live in the heart and are transmitted by mosquitoes, putting every single dog at risk (inside dogs, thick-coated/long-haired haired dogs-mosquitos don’t discriminate).

Our heartworm blood test also tests for 3 tick-borne illnesses common to this area: Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma. Ticks are sneaky and often go unnoticed. We see surprise positives for tick-borne diseases when owners don’t recall seeing ticks on their dogs. The sooner we can diagnose it, the better we can manage it.

Heartworm disease is deadly. Tick diseases can be debilitating. Protect your dog with a simple yearly blood test and monthly heartworm/tick/flea prevention year-round.
