Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a drug-free, alternative therapy option for chronic illness, pain and behavioral issues in our pet friends. If you own a cat or dog and it has a chronic illness or condition, it can be difficult to watch them struggle. Sometimes diet changes, medications and supplements help. Acupuncture is an ancient Eastern medicine that is over 8000 years old. Stimulation of different points along specific pathways effects hormonal and immune changes within the body. Once determined, certain points along 14 different channels are selected and stimulated.

Acupuncture is an excellent choice for managing issues such as arthritis, renal failure, bowel issues, behavioral problems, pain management, and even chronic conditions. Needle insertion is virutally painless, and feels more like a twinge or localized "goosebump" sensation. Acupunture is drug-free and has virtually no sidep-effects; it is however cumulative in nature, and at least four sessions are recommended before efficacy is determined.
